This relates to someone not writing back to an email that I sent, essentially, a pitch. Someone who had invited story pitches, but never responded. And this was a while ago now, several years ago. So what my guess might be is there, okay, this particular person behaved in this way, is it possible that on some level, even subconsciously, you think this might happen in the future?
Maybe you want to dismiss your grudges, like they’re petty incidents. Or maybe you hold them tightly, and wear them like badges of honor. Either way, we have them. And we’re taking the view that there’s more going on with our grudges than we think.
