What's the Gender Pay Gap?
Most of the reason for the gender pay gap is not that kind of direct discrimination. It's largely about the gender division of labor around child rearing so women's wages track men's pretty well now through their two people's 20s. And you hit around 30 on average and then something happens to women's earnings. Women are just so much more likely to take time out of the labor market to work part time, etc. because they're caring for kids.
