Lea thompson won the 500m freestyle title at this year's n c a meet. She beat out three other swimmers, two of whom issued statements of support beforehand and widely circulated. Thomas didn't speak to any media or do any press conferences during the race. But notice that second place finisher, emma wyant, stayed silent. We must acknowledge that the competing values of fairness and acceptance are legitimate. And dismissing the other as bad faith is ignorant or operatunistic. I also doubt that there'll be a spade of tran women winning every swim. If enough transgender women crowd the podium, then we could just have a transwomen's division
