"I think Beetlejuice was my gateway drug. I watch Beetlejuice so often as a kid and I really fell for the ghoulish production design," she said. "My first horror movie proper wasn't until a little bit later when I was in second grade and I stayed up way late with my brother and we watched Creature from a Black Lagoon." The last two years were 'really challenging' but getting to do Gaylords kept her afloat, he added.
