I worry that private equity has succeeded in making itself too big to fail. The lesson from the financial crisis seems to be, make sure you're going to take the little people down with you so that then you can't be allowed to fail. And I worry that's going to be the case with private equity and that where he is Jim's phrase where the rubber is going to meet the road again is when private equity returns or the lack thereof start showing up in pension funds. It just feels like a lot of people are unprepared for that type of environment.
