How to Protect Your Money in a Joint Account
Nat Western Royal Bank of Scotland and Ulster Bank are part of the same group. But, they do not count as a combined entity up to £85,000 in each. You need to find out if you're actually with one banking group and are not protected. If you have money in a joint account, divide it into half each.
