When we're all anxious, we start having very, very shallow breaths. And this can make us even more anxious because it cuts off the oxygen. People with an anxious attachment style from an early on learned how to breathe like their mother's nervous system was regulated. So if the mother was dysregulated and her breasts were shallow, the baby would take on the same breathing. That is fascinating. I think we all need to bring light to how we breathing.
