Soh Sadducees, the Descendants of Zadok

The sadducees come from a line of priestly families that date all the way back to the time of david and solomon in the dividit kingdom. They were trying to restore a priesthood that had probably been lost. The hasmonian dynasty is something else that you could google and study. It's these seven families there. And what happens within 20 years, we don't know how this will act out in history but over the last two or three decades they've become completely hellenistic.
