Is Omicron a Threat to the Immune System?

Omicron is avoiding some component of the immunity that people have developed, either through vaccination or through infection. In particular, it is avoiding their anti bodies. Data shows us that the anti bodies generated by astrozenica don't bind at all to omocron. It means we've got way less protection against infection from omicron. But probably, and unfortunately, because it's much harder to measure, we still have very strong protection against disease and death.
