The Scurrilous Thing, Don't Do That
The speech from Tamar echoes many of the same words that we read when we cover the story of Dina back in Genesis. The Hebrew behind that is novel law, that choose to describe what was done to Dina when she was raped. It's sometimes translated a scurrilous thing. And almost every time that it's used, it denotes something which is such which is so horrendous and is often a sexually horrendous act, that it must be addressed in some way.
