The oldest car that we have here on the platform is from 1904. And it's wooden. It would not be allowed to ride through the tunnels today. But we do take it out once a year or try to so people can ride on it and experience what it was like way back when. The Transit Museum celebrates more than just subways, tracing the entire history of public transit in New York City.
