The hunger of the wolf is about a journalist growing up in an undeveloped, mostly undeveloped region of alberta. The book unravels this whole multigenerational story of this family and how they became billionaires. It also involves werewolves - but it's less kind of genre stuff than it is a metaphor for trying to get at what it means to live next to these incredibly wild places.
