In an ideal world, we would solve all of this formally mathematically proof check everything. I just don't think this is realistic. So there's still software systems and there are some bounds that we can say about them. For example, running a GPT-4 cannot row hammer, you know, ram states using only a forward pass to escape onto the internet. That's something I can do. And now, if I feed this into another black box, I know something about the input I'm giving to this system. There is a difference between letting one big black box do everything and having larger boxes involved in it.
