Craig Leonard's Art in the One-Dimensional Society
Craig Leonard brings forward Macu's claim that the aesthetic dimension is political because of its refusal to operate according to repressive Common Sense. Drawing in Macu's notion of radical sensibility, Leonard highlights the aesthetic promise of the practice of de-formulization in art and politics. Pierre: What brought you to consider Macusa at all? Craig: I started out doing a PhD dissertation with Juliana Raventisch at the Hochschule for Gestaltung in Offenbach, Germany.
