The Importance of Listening to the Councils

The Campbellites, the Back to the Bible movements are not connected to a Protestant view of history or authority. So you may call it Protestant in some broad sense, but it doesn't really have any connection to the Reformation itself. But when you have a council that is not defending its beliefs from the basis of the authority of Scripture, we do have the right and the duty as the church to reject those councils or challenge those decisions.
