The Lost Feminine in Romantic Love
Dante knew right from the get-go that he was never going to be able to satisfy his love for Beatrice in a kind of humdrum way. That enabled him to see this more that Beatrice channeled now sometimes that is described as the divine feminine. It's talked about as if the problem Christianity had was losing touch with the divine feminine and maybe this even reaches back into the Old Testament when ancient Hebrews started to worship Yahweh alone.
