The Importance of Variety in Our Lives

We split a lot more by gender than we do by politics. Both men and women buy the same things, right? We would each get much less variety of cars available to them. And so you also lament the fact that like razor blades, there's like the pink ones for women and the blue ones for men. You think it'd be better if we all just had rain. For example, this was the great innovation of General Motors. Long ago, a century ago, Ford just didn't have very many kinds of cars because behind the scenes, they were all the same car.
