The Second Kernel of My Career in Investing

I actually was trained as really a scientist. In undergrad, I basically majored in organic chemistry and history of technology. And then from that, I went into politics and worked in that for about six years. The more I spent time with business people, the more I realized I was much more interested in how their business worked than I was in understanding their political problems. That's when you kind of realize what your interest is, but you don't actually know what it means, it leads you to try different things. But essentially, that was the first kernel. Before he ended up at Tiro, I actually worked one summer at Goldman Sachs.
