The Magnificat is a section of the gospel according to Luke and it's what his podcast gets his name so like Hannah said we don't want Mary to just be a prop or stand in we have to consider what she says and who she actually is. The way I experience the Magnificat now first I think to be very honest like changes from year to year but that's part of why these practices are worthwhile because they take on new meanings over time as people mature with them.
