Is There a Delay in the Release Process?

I went through this process recently. I was on a six month contract with the company that it just ended. And when I joined there, they were doing manual releases. They were aiming to release at the end of each sprint, but they were like two or three weeks behind because QA was finding problems. But very quickly, they caught up, they caught on and things started working smoothly.
