I really enjoy that kind of that kind of perspective and yeah I've never heard of Florence Mills obviously I heard of Josephine Baker so you definitely introduced me to different people who I never heard of before know these stories. Oliver Golden and Joseph Ronan the agronomist that they were traveling with in the 1930s they were on one hand escaping the racism and violence of the Jim Crow South and their exclusion from professional opportunities That's something that the Soviets were doing for complicated reasons that I'll get into but what they were doing was pursuing these things that were not available to them  and the United States opportunities to make a difference.
