The Importance of Sacramental Confession

You can't forgive something that somebody's not sorry for. And then you bring these before the sacrament, you can confess them to a validly ordained priest, and then he imparts absolution. When we hear the priest's words, I absolve you, we can be utterly confident that our sins are forgiven because it's Christ acting in that way.
