The Industrial Revolution in Berlin

In the first decade of the 20th century, Berlin's population swelled to almost two million souls. Its industry was racing to dominate Europe above all to better British industry. Lenin sent millions of marks and 300 skilled agitators from Moscow disguised as an embassy staff to ferment revolution in Berlin. He energized the 1919 Spartacus uprising which almost brought Germany to the brink of a Bolshevik coup. It was such a brutal, brutal period of history.
