What's the Point of Sentencing?
Some of this crime is opportunistic, and some of it is organized. 99 percent of all illegal hair courses have got serious criminal records already. I think we need to do much more, for example, seizing the dogs and impounding them. Good sentencing should act as a powerful deterrent to would be, uh perpetrates in the future. And i remain completely unconvinced the magistrates and others are taking this seriously enough. They simply don't understand the consequences of these appalling crimes out in the country side. So you think still more should be done? Obviously, always still more to do.
