Is There a Difference Between for-Profit and Nonprofit?
In Ontario, about 70% of licensed spaces in the province are nonprofits. In Alberta, more than 60% oflicensed spaces in that province are run by for-profit operators. David Perry: If we're going to create the spaces needed under this plan, we'll have to include for-profits. He says on the whole, nonprofit care tends to offer a much higher quality of care than for-profit operator.
