The sound team used a similar approach. You find these best little snippets of vocalizations, the sounds that have personality and you figure out how to layer them. For example, there was the gentle brachiosores. That's the one with the long neck for eating leaves out of tall trees. To create their sound, the designers took hawing donkeys. And they slowed it down until it became a graceful song. There's also a scene where the kids are caught in a stampede of dinosaurs that look sort of like ostriches. These are called gallamemis.
