The Risks of Solid Organ Transplantation
Infections account for 70% of donor-derived disease, malignancies for 20%. Transmission of miscellaneous conditions such as phenylology and amyloidosis have also been reported. Hepatitis C, hepatitis B, CME, and community respiratory viruses were the most common viruses transmitted. Strahduloidus was the most transmitted parasite followed by Toxoplasma and ticymosomyensis. The OPO said they would reach out to the transplant centers of the kidney organ recipients.
