The Importance of Salt in the Church
The church is not to be a monastic cloister or an underground bunker. We cannot fulfil our mission if we hide ourselves away and talk only to ourselves. The culture has been enticing the church to become a dull, vapid, muffled entity that doesn't shine its light so brightly as to be offensive to anyone. Our power to influence the world for good lies in our resolve to be faithful to our god and our saviour at all costs.
