The book is a critical story of the shortcomings and the shortcoming hings are massive. Christle smith, i think, is someone who is committed to socialist revolution, but she's also like, we need change to day. The kinds of deep, fundamental change that really honor human dignity, they just don't happen overnight. I'm not myself an optimist about the ballot box as a rout to change in the terms of our time. But it's a well intentioned effort to do some good by people on the left.
