How Many Hours to Prepare One Sermon Beginning to Pulpit?
For the first five years at Alberndale, Jim had a really unhealthy grind for sermon prep. He would stay up from 10 Tuesday night till about two Wednesday morning,. And then he did the same thing on Thursday night. By the time my last five years at alberndale I could write a sermon in eight to 10 hours. That's only because I'm now writing one a week instead of two. Every pastor needs to has different gifts and ways he thinks and works. Brian: How do you best work? Is it in the mornings or afternoons? Did it matter? It depended.
