The Myth of Russian Interference in the 2016 US Election

Do you think there was an attempt by Russian actors or the state to influence the 2016 election via disinformation campaigns? Yes, of course. It's not at all clear that the intent was to help Donald Trump. There's evidence that was excluded from the highly politicized initial intelligence assessment produced by Obama appointee and former CIA director John Brennan in 2017. The effect we don't know precisely, but it seems to have been fairly negligible.
