The Power of Persona

The idea that Jung had about persona is that, right, it's our interface between the self and the society. And we're now seeing the use of the persona in ways we've never seen it before. What I wear when I'm going on a long bicycle ride is not what I wear whenI'm teaching my graduate students. Those are two different kinds of costumes. The shadow of persona and social media is the idea that we are supposed to create a curated life,. We have to look a certain way for popularity, social acceptance, etc.
