The Nostalgic Approach to Capitalism
A nostalgic approach to capitalism can kind of lead to an emergence of reactionary ideals. The aristocratic class that had a lot of power during the late feudal era for example was definitely pushed out of power and displaced by merchants because of capitalist republicanism so surely these aristocrats would have an opposition to capitalism that is a nostalgic longing for a prior order but that nostalgic desire for a proper order isn't necessarily progressive and in fact it can be outright reactionary. i think that this might explain why we saw the european bourgeois z a lie themselves with sort of racist and nationalist syndicalists and radicals in the development of the nazi party and the national fascist party in italy.
