Heat Pumps for Dummies

A heat pump is a new name for an old technology. It provides cooling in the summer during the hottest days and then on those coldest days, there's still enough heat in the air to bring it indoors. The principle of technology is the same; with an AC, what you're doing is you're removing heat from inside the house. Because it's just moving heat around, it uses a lot less energy to create heat.
