The Bodhisattva's North Star

In the Buddhist tradition, there is this notion of the Bodhisattva of being any of us who is committed to alleviating suffering or bringing blessings no matter what the circumstance is. If you let yourself listen, you'll come to a kind of an inner knowing - sometimes in some traditions, it's called a vow that becomes your north star. And as you sit quietly, you might even reflect on those beings who've inspired you from history or from your own life which have gone through really hard times with dignity, courage and love.
