Data Lineage in the BI Space?
Raliniage uses a specification driven approach for data lineage in many projects. For it to work, you need to have a very strengthened development process that makes sure nothing gets developed without going through those pieces of specifications and documentation. One way of doing this is trying to derive the lineage from those different bits and pieces that do the data transformations and put them together. And they work fairly well, the more structured your environment is.
