The Positives of the Voice
Lydia Thorp pushed very hard when she was a member of the Greens for that reordering of truth telling then treaty then voice. She went to the crossbench to sit as an independent anyway. So did the limbo over that issue drive support for the voice down among the Greens? Well I think Lydia was and continues to be a really passionate advocate for First Nations people you know she grew up in public housing she's been in a lot of those communities. And perhaps it's a good demonstration if we are able to have a mature conversation as a country that the voice could be successful because even where voices we don't agree with speak up.
