The Effect of Race on City Managers
Even among the subset of people who score the highest on this racial resentment scale they're the ones that are willing to answer those questions in the more potentially racist direction. I was a little surprised that we didn't see a little bit more disfavoring on the high end of the scale if we were being careless. There's ways that someone could be skeptical about how well that result will transport to to other contexts one where race is signaled in a more powerful way than just a word on your screen.
