Vicksburg: The Turning Point in the War

Mead was in charge of the army of the Potomac. When Grant went east because Lincoln's administration was very clear after Bicksburg, Grant is the guy. That was another really smart move of his. He read Lee. And it actually maybe wasn't all that hard to read Lee, just that the previous commanders didn't want to fight were terrified and knew they had to.
