Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty - The First START Treaty
By 2019, there was only one major US-Russia arms control agreement standing. The new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty has been extended until 2026. Under this agreement, both sides are limited to an equal number of deployed strategic warheads and weapons carrying them. To make sure everyone's doing what they're supposed to, there are strict counting rules and transparency requirements.
