M: I want to start by a kind of high level summation of this book that you wrote, capital waris the rise of global liquidity. Most of the financial crises we've seen in the last 20 years or so have been about refinancing, inability to re finance. It was the decision of central banks to slash interest rates, originally 15, 20 years ago, that was really the problem. And that caused debt to begin to spiral out of control. M: The paradoxis that may be the financial system of the west is actually more prone to crisis.
