How do you deal with somebody who is attacking democratic institutions in that way? It's a huge dilemma for a democrat, how to deal with the politics of enemies. And this is a problem if i can shift from the united states to a context i know better,. This is the dilemma faced by the hungarian opposition. They are facing a regime that's been in power for 12 years and has run it as a single party state. How do we reverse a decade of single party rule? It's extremely, extremely difficult. I'm urging caution, because i think what you want to avoid is giving a defeated right wing the opportunity to go in the streets and try and settlePolitics on the streets
