Jerusalem and the Passover

At the time of jesus, jerusalem had been a place of both joy and sorrow. Jerusalem was established by david as a centre of worship and protection for the people of god. To go to jerusalem was to step into a place that felt like kingdom of heaven on earth. David brings, or basically builds the tent for the presence of god to be in the city. And is ultimate heart is to build a temple where god will dwell permanently. When solomon builds the temple, you remember what happend at the dedication.
