Harrison: Precision treatments have to redefine not only how we treat patients, but also how we design clinical trials. Squamous cell lung cancer has the strongest association with cigarette smoking and still accounts for about 20 to 30 percent of new lung cancers. He says targeted molecular therapies have not been as widely applied in these cancers. Harrison: There is a growing role of immunotherapy and lung cancer beyond adenocarcinomas.
