"I got a drive as I've always been sort of fascinated in a kind of morbid way about death and dying, even age, but mostly death," he says. "When I was in my 50s, I started to think about that because I thought, well, I may only have five to 10 years to live ... Why is that? You know, what's going on here?" He adds: "Here's my suggestion... That the whole process of living is called metabolism."
