Is There a Curvature in the Universe?

If you took out all the stuff and energy in our universe, we would just be left with space. You can't take a curbed universe and put stuff into it and make it flat. Dark energy is expanding the universe that tends decrease the curvature of the universe. It like stretches everything out.
