The Hidden City of Horatio

When you're writing a mystery, one of the big aspects of it is conspiracy and concealing things. I think there always seems to be something hidden that we're not quite getting. It translates into the idea that there's a kind of a hidden city underneath the one that we inhabit. You see it in Umberto, you know, Foucault's Pendulum, you see it all over the place.
