Alexis: For the most part, what we are going to call modern magic or magic over the last 2000 years could kind of be traced to a place called Alexandria. The city was obviously founded by Alexander the Great and then he left to go conquer other parts of the known world at the time. So it was almost this fertile, perfect environment for the Greco Egyptian magical papayri to arrive.
