The Titanic: A Story of Communication
Titan submersible spent two and a half hours at the bottom of the Titanic. There was no GPS or radio communication on board, just pings sent by the vessel. The ship is trying to triangulate your position as you go through the water column. "We were very lucky when we flipped the sonar on," says expedition leader Colin Taylor.
