The Benefits of Organic Farming

Each year, Rob moves the chickens, pigs and other animals to fresh fields. The animal's manure fertilises the ground for crops as well as growing a variety of nutrient-rich plants. Having this shop and a cafe has enabled the farm to survive. We directly have relationships with our customers which is brilliant. If we were still selling to a supermarket through a abattoir or something, it would be a nightmare. I think these smaller family farms would generally have more smaller fields. They'd be great biodiversity on those farms. So ultimately if we're looking at the whole picture, they're more invested in their environment I think.
